Cookie Policy
Last updated: 26 July 2026
The short version
We use a small number of cookies. The ones that make the shop work are always on. The one used for analytics is only set if you agree—you’ll see a banner on your first visit, and you can change your mind whenever you like.
Strictly necessary cookies
These are always active and don’t require consent, because the shop can’t function without them.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
_fontdue_session | Fontdue | Keeps your cart and checkout session working as you move between pages | End of session |
_fontdue_cc | Fontdue | Remembers your cookie choice so we don’t ask again | 1 year |
__stripe_mid | Stripe | Payment fraud prevention—recognises the device to detect fraudulent payments | 1 year |
__stripe_sid | Stripe | Payment fraud prevention—short-lived session identifier | ~30 minutes |
Analytics cookies
Only set if you choose “Accept all”.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
_fontdue_state | Fontdue | A pseudonymous visitor ID plus referrer and campaign data, so we can tell repeat visits from new ones and see which pages are actually useful | 1 year |
If you choose “Necessary only”, this cookie isn’t set. We still count page views, but anonymously, without storing any identifier on your device.
Analytics without cookies
Our host, Netlify, produces aggregate traffic statistics—page views, referrers, countries, broken links—from its own server logs. This happens on the server, sets no cookies, and stores nothing on your device.
Separately, when your browser downloads our webfonts, our font delivery service records the request for licensing and usage statistics. That’s a server-side log, not a cookie.
What we don’t do
We don’t use Google Analytics, advertising cookies, tracking pixels, session recording, or cross-site tracking. We don’t sell or share your data with advertisers.
Changing your choice
Click “Cookie settings” in the site footer at any time to accept or decline analytics cookies. You can also clear cookies in your browser settings—though removing the strictly necessary ones will break the cart until you reload.
